Everything seems to be familiar. Like history is indeed repeating itself.
It was again in summer and again my husband needs to go to work at night. I asked him not to go to work but he says he can't and assures me that if something happens, he'll be home in a flash.
This is already our third baby so I should know what to expect but I still am uneasy. Right around midnight, I started to feel contractions, all too familiar feeling. I called Myk to tell him and he says he is on his way. I got a little bit scared because I know I can give birth very quickly and I was worried that Myk might not make it back in time. Well, my worrying was not necessary.
When we got to the hospital, the resident doctor examined me and says she thinks that my cervix hasn't dilated yet. She consulted another doctor and I was told the same thing. The first doctor asked if I still wanted to go back home and wait. I think she doesn't believe that I am already in labor. I decided that I wait in the hospital. She agreed and said that she would induce my labor (again, all too familiar). It wasn't an hour that I was in the room when my water bag broke and I asked to be wheeled in to the delivery room. My ObGyn has not arrived yet. There was a resident doctor in there anyway. people in the delivery room keep telling me to wait for my doctor my I keep on saying the baby couldn't wait and she is already coming.
True enough, Micaiah Catherine Cabanos Mendoza did not wait for my ObGyn and came at 2:29AM on March 27, 2009.
After 15 minutes my doctor came running up the stairs. :)
